What is FTP? Where do I get it?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is a way to move files from your desktop to the web server.
There are many third-party applications available. We recommend:
- Windows: http://www.smartftp.com or http://filezilla-project.org
- Mac: http://cyberduck.ch or http://fetchsoftworks.com or http://www.panic.com/transmit
- All Platforms (Mac, PC and Linux): FileZilla
Don't forget you also have a File Manager built into your control panel that can handle many of the same functions as FTP.
