One of the best places to start is Google Webmaster Central where you can find a host of tools and tips for submitting your site to google and improving your search ranking.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a huuuge topic of discussion on the web, and you can definitely get far with a little purposeful surfing. Of course, we wouldn't leave you searching for a needle in a haystack. So here are a few suggestions of great places to start on your path to becoming an SEO allstar:
