What are your SMTP and POP3 or IMAP (email server) settings?
Use mail.yourwebsitename.com for both SMTP and POP3 (or IMAP) server names.
Use the default ports. (25 and 110 for SMTP and POP3, 143 for IMAP)
For secure access via SSL, use port 995 for POP3, and 993 for IMAP.
Remember to use your full email address as your login name ( you@yourwebsitename.com ) and also to turn SMTP authentication on (advanced settings in Outlook, default for most macs).
If your ISP is blocking port 25 (like Yahoo/SBC, Earthlink, Mindspring, and others), you can try using port 26 instead of port 25.
