What is the process for getting my own SSL secure certificate?
1) Purchase a secure certificate from our partner SustainableDomains.com. We recommend the high assurance certificate
1a) Let our billing department know that you will need a dedicated IP address. ($4/month)
2) Include the following information in the description field of our support form and send to our support department for a CSR (Certificate Signing Request):
- Email address certificate will be sent to:
- Host to make certificate for: (careful, be sure to choose either www.yourdomain or yourdomain.com - it cannot be valid for both):
- Country: US (let us know the two letter code if not)
- State:
- City:
- Company name:
- Company division (put main if no divisions):
- Your email:
- Your password for the SSL certificate from www.SustainbleDomains.com:
You will be emailed a CSR and a RSA key. Save the RSA key for step 4.
3) Login into your SustainableDomains.com account and find the link to "Manage your SSL". Complete the CSR form for steps 1&2 and then copy the CSR code under step 3.
4) Send the SSL cert and RSA key that is generated to our support team via our support form.
